Recycle Your Holiday Cards

DON’T THROW AWAY YOUR HOLIDAY CARDS - Recycle them! Here are some great tips from www.Smart2begreen.com:

1. Send your used cards to St. Jude's Ranch which serves to help heal and care for abused, abandoned and neglected children. Kids at the ranch earn money by designing new cards out of old ones. Send to:

St Jude's Card Recycling
100 St. Jude Street
P.O. Box 60100
Boulder City, NV 89006

2. Buy some inexpensive postcard stamps and cut cards that don't have writing on the first side in half!

3. Punch holes in pieces of holiday cards to use as gift tags next year.

4. Reuse cards by writing your message and signing your name on a Post-it Note inside...then ask others to pass it along or continue adding pages and signatures to a single card to save your family money.

5. California, Arizona and Nevada's Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets will donate the proceeds from the sale of recycled cards to American Forests, a non-profit that works to plant trees in restoration areas throughout the U.S.: http://www.freshandeasy.com/GoodTidings.aspx
