Astrology Forecast for December 2007

By Janet Moon

General Tendencies for All Sun Signs
The big news this month is Jupiter and Pluto coming to a conjunction in the optimistic and sparkly sign of Sagittarius. This will help to generate a tone of happiness and general well-being.

Saturn will be starting his retrograde just a few days before the first day of Winter on the 21st when Sun enters Capricorn (ruled by Saturn). A few of us may be running around saying, "bah humbug," for a few days. And, for the week of Christmas, Mars and Jupiter will be dealing with an imbalance which could bring out extravagance.

December begins with possibilities! Venus will be adding her beautiful harmony to the Jupiter and Pluto conjunction. This should bring a general feeling of satisfaction and pride with an eye for beauty. It will be an excellent time for holiday decorating and holiday parties through December 3.

Hanukkah begins on December 5 and there could be a few problems for the next few days. Venus will cross into deep and watery Scorpio on December 5, and relationships could get sensitive. Mercury will be fighting with Saturn on December 6, and this could bring abusive words. Mercury also rules transportation, so watch out for "road rage." The Sun and Uranus will also not be getting along, and they will hit their peak on December 7 bringing mistakes. Some people may also display some rather shocking behavior.

Things will improve on Saturday, December 8 with Mars and Saturn shaking hands, signaling a return to patience. And, we will enjoy the optimistic Sagittarius New Moon on December 9.

The week of December 10 may begin with an unexpected problem, but the rest of the week is smooth sailing. Mercury and Uranus may cause some mis-communications, and there is a potential for traffic congestion and accidents on Monday, December 10. But, we will also be under the influence of a trio between Mars, Venus, and Saturn; a second harmony from the Sun, Mercury, and Neptune; and Jupiter and Pluto conjunct.

It looks to me like Mars (the masculine) and Venus (the feminine) will be renewing their vows in front of Saturn (the judge). It will be a great time for romance, and people will just get along well in general through the end of Hanukkah, December 12.

Pluto and Jupiter will hit the peak of their conjunction on Tuesday, December 11, and this may bring an interest in our own psychological health. Because they are both slow outer planets, their influence will be very strong most of the week. Some of us may really get inspired and enthusiasm will be high. I have an article on my web site about Jupiter and Pluto this month if you would like to know more.

The Sun (our character) will shake Neptune's (the psychic's) hand on Tuesday, December 11, and Mercury (our thoughts) will follow behind to touch Neptune on Thursday December 13. It could be a very spiritual week and many will be motivated to help the less fortunate. Don't forget your favorite charity this holiday.

And, you think last week was great, get ready for more. The week of December 17 will be a week of transition as the planets line up to cross from Sagittarius to Capricorn. We will have Jupiter, the Sun, and Mercury each crossing over Pluto at 28 ½ degrees Sagittarius and entering Capricorn and the season of Winter. This is going to increase our optimism, our attitudes, and our transportation. It will be a great week for travel and more enthusiasm. It could also be a great week to come up with solutions for problems.

We will have one little snag on Wednesday, December 19, with Saturn at retrograde station. We have all these planets moving into Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, and Saturn, himself, is switching gears. A few of us with dominate Capricorn in our charts may find ourselves feeling a bit discouraged around this day, and we may express ourselves rather loudly.

We may be a bit overly sensitive on Saturday, December 22, with Venus and Neptune in a fight. Some may be rather self-indulgent and drink too much at the holiday parties. Also, guard against overspending. Mercury and Mars will also be out of balance on this day, and that could lead to arguments and accidents.

The Sun and Jupiter will be following Mercury's imbalance with Mars from the Cancer Full Moon on December 23 through the beginning of Kwanzaa on December 26. This can lead to extravagance and more quarrels for the Christmas holiday. The best thing we can do is keep our energy focused these few days, or we may lose our own personal power. Mercury and Saturn will be singing in harmony on Christmas day, and hopefully this will increase patience.

The Moon will be in Virgo on December 28, and Mercury will be shaking hands with Uranus on December 29. We will be ready to roll up our sleeves and start cleaning up the holiday mess, or preparing for the next party. The Sun and Saturn will increase our patience and stamina through Sunday December 30, and Venus will be entering optimistic Sagittarius. Travel and social events will go well for the new year. Mars will enter Gemini on the last day of 2007, and our thoughts may turn to our soldiers and veterans. But at the least, we will be ready for a little friendly competition to bring in the new year.
