Astrology Transits - The Week of August 28-September 4, 2006

A Wild Ride With Sharp Turns, Pluto Stationary Direct, and the First Saturn Opposition Neptune

By Robert Wilkinson of the AquariusPapers.com

The coming week brings major developments, some very good, others crashing old dishonesty and coercive or corrosive behaviors. We're being given chances to get behind inhibitions and find new ways of doing things others may not understand. While the edge of brilliance is in the air, so is the sense that we're all about to take a left turn at "Eternity Boulevard," ending some things forever while opening to new perspectives. There's magic, but so is confusion, deluded idealism, with many things being unveiled, especially for those trying to hide something.

We're in an increasing Moon this week, which kicks off with the Moon in Libra moving into Scorpio on Monday August 28 about 1 pm PDT. This is a span of "expiation," where karmic returns abound. It's a "dues paying" part of the sky, as well as a span where we can plant, transplant, prune things, and get haircuts that will turn out very satisfactorily. August 28-29 is dominated by the Moon conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio with a trine from both to Uranus while the Mars square Pluto culminates. So we're building through opening to a greater Uranian vision while using strong Pluto energies to give the whole shift some power. This will release powerful forces which can transform some areas of life forever.

August 30 the Moon in Scorpio moves through the incredibly strong Fixed T-square, showing it's time to open the windows of the mind and air our "container of perceptual imagery." Follow your discontent to remove stagnant thinking and interpretations, and purify your perceptions so you're imaging the true, good, and beautiful rather than old stuck stuff. The T-square Moon is on a transfiguration degree which will be transited by Jupiter beginning September 22, so heads up, since transfigurations can take many forms, this one dependent on how well you're able to remove stagnant thinking. There's much more about the larger Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square at this link, so when you're done reading the info at the above link, please go to this one to get several more articles about this very important configuation affecting us all for the next dozen weeks.

The Moon enters Sagittarius on August 31 just after midnight PDT, setting into motion a Mutable T-square with the Sun-Mercury opposition Uranus, throwing energy into Gemini. This may challenge people born the last week of February, May, August, and November to be more flexible and adaptable, as well as anyone with planets in early Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). It stays in Sagittarius through 7:34 am PDT September 2, and on September 1 makes such incredibly favorable aspects with Venus, Saturn, and Neptune it could turn up some unexpectedly pleasant associations, especially since Venus trines Pluto that day.

Labor Day weekend should be very enjoyable for many due to the many more harmonious aspects made by the Moon all day Sunday. The Moon in Capricorn configures very favorably with the on-going Mercury sextile Jupiter, helping direct the Mercury opposed Uranus through the opposition-sextile-trine into hamonious Taurus pursuits. During that time we have a larger harmonic going on between planets in early Virgo, early Scorpio, early Capricorn, and early Pisces, thus 4 notes in a "chord" of Earth-Water. This opens harmonious resonant points in early Taurus and Cancer. As an aside, Moon in Capricorn is said to be a good time to treat your garden to get rid of pests, so get your organic pest treatments ready, and have at it between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning.

Due to so much activity throwing energy into Taurus, how we handle that energy in our life will determine how harmonious or frictional this period is. We have a lot of good things we can do with second decan Taurus energy, but also lots of potentially frictional enegy released in that same area of Taurus by the Scorpio square to the Saturn in Leo opposed to Neptune in Aquarius. I have discussed how to handle these overlapping energies in other articles on the Fixed T-square, so please go back and explore some of them to get a better sense of what we're ALL dealing with. That the Sun and Mercury in Virgo are the focus at present is good, since the second decan of Taurus is the Virgo decan.

On a final note, Monday, September 4, (that night in Europe and points east) shows Pluto going stationary direct just hours before the Sun opposes Uranus, so expect dramatic and probably not very pleasant things happening at that time. Expect the unexpected, get a grip on your genius, don't get into power struggles with deceptive, dissembling, or hyper-critical people. Again, Taurus is the solution. Keep it simple, pleasant, know what is of value, and if someone's trying to coerce you into something you know is dishonest, just smile while refusing to agree to bizarre, willful, or eccentric actions.
